Hehehe, I saw the whole interview a while back, it was funny....good show. smile British talk shows blow US ones out of the water. It plays on Friday nights over here about 10.30. On thing you notice is that the American guests love being over here doing interviews and often mention how liberating it is to be able to say what they want without censorship. People you might think are 'goody two shoes' types because they just trot out inane stock answers etc are anything but when you give them free reign. I saw an interview with Stevie Wonder and it was hilarious, swearing like a trooper....and he has a 'dark side' believe it or not lol. Cameron diaz is funny as well when she gets going....very naughty actually. smile

One of the first things US guests often do is swear, often for no apparent reason....and just because they can. No one cares over here, you can say what you want. hahaha

Worth watching the whole interview actually, though I don't know if it is censored with BBC America too. I thought you lot were supposed to be the Land of the Free *TM* anyway? Seems you can't say boo to a goose without getting locked down lol. biggrin One good bit is Liam leaving 'Taken' recorded messages on a fans phone....saying that he will 'find them and kill them, wherever they are'....while completely f*cking up the words as he can't remember them. biggrin

She was in Top Gear together with Tom Cruise and swore like a construction worker during her hotlap.

You can see it here :-

At 0.45, she worked the stick shift and commented on the unfamiliar configuration of British cars (right-hanbd drive) :-

"Oh....that's Fifth......F***ing English gears."

Tom had only two wheels on the pavement at one point. Pretty hilarious.

The gov't only cares about swearing in prime time on the big networks. Everywhere else is free range. The problem is the holier-than-thou groups who make it their life's work to censor TV by doing things like organizing boycotts and other such crap everytime a show does something THEY don't like.
They won't make a peep about violence on the shows, you can blow away half of Asia and they won't comment. Show one fleeting shot of a bare backside or one PG-rated word, though, and they trumpet the fall of American civilization.

Yes, BBCA is censored here. At least they don't blur out the speaker's mouth like a lot of shows over here have been doing for several years now.

Of course, at least on this website we don't have to worry about #%&*$# censorship! wink
