Hi all

I'm still in love with SBK-X, possibly going to get SBK2011 one of these days - bike racing just has it's own set of interesting details.

But the inprecision of the XB360 pad is driving me nuts. It's very hard to "ease off just a bit" the lean angle if I find myself oversteering, and as I had to put the rear brake on the up direction of the same stick as left/right, it conflicts.

Somehow I need a better controller for bike games. Something that has at least the precision of an average joystick, that allows anlogue throttle, front and rear brake separatly, while all these three are not to conflict with the actual steering.

Something like that "floating" SRS wheel would do nicely, but according to Jamie it's actually not working with SBK.

Anyone has any ideas?

Why not look into building one? It wouldn't be that hard to do with a set of real handle bars and some potentiometers!

I'm really not good with tools, and I'd need a nice workplace. My dad would have the tools and space in his house...

I was actually considering that. To have a pressure-sensitive handlebar (better than "twisting bar" IMHO) clamped on the desk, with a foot-plate mounting a rear brake and shifter.

But to make that nice and tidy is a lot of work and time spent, especially as I have no clue on how to work the electronics to USB.

You might find it on ebay or so, as they have been discontinued.

That's pretty trick, I had no idea it even existed. Would have been right on time back in '98 with GP500 burnout
