What's next?

Let me guess... they will pick up the FPS parts and make another movie like the Doom film.

And then make another game about it! And another movie, and then another game...

We will never see the end of it!

<sigh> I thought for a sec this might be Star Blazers . . .

Actually, there was a new Starblazers film that was released about a year ago but it was a Japanese production and thus didn't have a US theatrical release.

What's the title of that Starblazers film...might check it out

I saw that.... talk about over acted, pompous, sanctimonious, mostly brief snapshots of episodes, crap. Even considering this is not Hollywood, but a Japanese film, this was a mediocre at best.

I wasn't expecting a faithful recreation of the series, but the things they decided to change did not work out IMO. At least they could have kept a story arc reminiscent of the original. Iconic images and character names is what holds this together, not the actual story.

Not even the few special effects, which were only OK, save the movie.

But if you wan to see the (space) Battleship Yamato in CGI action, this is your only fix.

Title is 'Space Battleship Yamato' . . . I thought it was a little better than Tuna. I don't think it was released outside of Japan but if you dig around online you should be able to find it.
