New Obutto peripheral. I but too $$$ for me to consider, but looks nice.

They are very nice!

Here's a custom version for larger screens (This is for my 3 40" screen for my Obutto).

I'll have pics of the monitors mounted next week!

It looks like those Fast Track monitor mount arms are designed for three of the same kind of monitor, so they wouldn't be well suited for a 20-30-20 monitor arrangement. From their site:

All three monitors are mounted in the same horizontal plane so there is no need to adjust the height of each monitor individually. Due to this feature you must have three of the same monitors.

20-30-20 would be a custom solution like the 40 - 40 - 40 I ordered. Tons of adjustability in the custom ones as well.

Big thing Mark's standard triple for Obutto has over the Obutto is the ability to go to closer angles on the sides with larger monitors. With the Obutto triple, the larger the monitor, the less angle you can have.

That would be helpful, having a closer angle

In the future, when GPUs can handily run 3x30" at max settings (which I doubt they can now), and when I have the $$ to do so, I am going to go 3x30" monitors. So the main thing for me is having a triple monitor mount that if flexible enough to handle multiple sizes- 20-30-20, or 30-30-30 in either portrait or landscape mode.

He's a pretty easy guy to work with. Send him an email and see what he can do for you that's flexible.

If I didn't already have the stock Obutto one, I might. Going to adjust the drill holes as was suggested earlier so I can hopefully vertically align the monitors.

I've met several of the guys I fly with in online.
Let's just say the majority of them are well past college age smile

We're trying to sort out a compromise.
I may actually be reclaiming the basement as my cave.
If so, win win. But, for now should anyone be considering buying an obtutto base cockpit, my day old one is availible at a lower then retail price.
Even though I don't want it to be.

Don't do it man. Do you tell her how to do her hobbies? Maybe I don't know but I told my wife I'll do my hobbies how I want and I WILL have a hobby. If she takes this one away I will find a new hobby and remember there are alot worse hobbies.

I'll buy a racing bike or learn to fly aerobatics for real. Both will drop $40k from our bank account...

Or I'll take up drinking with the mates again and not be home smile

Having said that - I also know to balance things. I think she is happier about it because she still gets the things SHE wants and I never go up there before 9:30pm on weekdays. So make sure there's balance then she has no excuse for messing with your hobby. Marriage should ADD to your life not ruin it.

Even better, tell her you will build that cockpit if she doesn't like the Obutto smile

Oh don't take me wrong guys. She is awesome, and usually quite patient with my general stupidity. Wouldn't want to be without her.
She is however not a fan of WWII aircraft nor Computers and combining them apparently is worse. She doesn't give me much trouble with the sims/games themselves, but in this case the hardware was more then she could stand.

My thinking was "I need a new desk" which is usually a problem because it changes controller heights. I ran into guods review hear and this thread. Problem solved.

I thought. Guess that is where I made my mistake.

What ever, it's not cost effective to return it. It's sitting in my basement. Monitor and controllers will be attached tomorrow.
If someone decides to buy it, I'll build a desk that suits my needs.
If not, well... Then I have the best prefab simpit ever.
wink
