Got a new ride about two weeks ago. 2012 Dodge Challenger R/T Redline. Not my number one choice in color, but I'm pretty happy with my blackout customizations on the wheels, spoiler, reflectors, gas cap cover and door handles(not yet done as of this pic). Plus, it was the only color they had with a standard transmission(a must!). Been trying to keep a low profile cruising around town, but its kind of hard with this much power smile

And before blackout:

Absolutely love the Challenger. RT is the right choice. Really dislike the blackout treatment.

You're thinking of the SRT-8! The R/T has 375(manual) and 370(automatic).

I've been in love with them since the new ones came out in '08. Four years later I can finally afford one. I'll add a pic before blackout stuff.

If I was to get a Challenger it would be a pure white R/T 6-speed. Think Vanishing Point.

I like them. Love my Evo, but I like Challengers, Camaros, and Mustangs too.

*claps for manual trans* Bravo! Kinda liked the chrome wheels though, but the black version is unique.

My first choice was white also. With red stripes (very unique looking). Something like this, minus the red on the wheels. Watch out for pebbles with that much of a drop!

Very nice scission, from a Charger R/T AWD guy.

If there is a retro car they nailed it is this one. Granted I was NOT alive when the original came out nor can I afford either new or old but still cool nonetheless.

EDIT: Age edit lol!

Sexy. I like how the modern muscle cars are going back to their 60s looks. The Challenger is my favorite, but I secretly desire GM to put out a new Trans Am.

Didn't GM close the Pontiac division?

Yes. That's what makes it extra certain it'll never happen but dammit, it should.

I feel like all of the retro-inspired pony and muscle cars have captured the essence of their heritage but lack the flair of the originals. I'd blow my savings tomorrow if Ford released a production Mustang that looked like this:

That's an exterior customization of the modern Mustang by a company called Retrobuilt. All you need is a donor GT model and an additional $30,000 or so for the exterior package...

I'm with Cat for the very same reason..... Vanishing Point. White looks so sweet on the Challengers. Not to knock a colour, but red always looks like a Revell plastic model to me. It could be Enzo Ferraris' personal pony and if it's red I'd not like it.

That said, congrats. If I were to buy a Dodge it would be a Challenger. Hope you have a lot of good years in her, scission.
