88 clean oval races since 8/11 and today I go from a 3.50 to s 2.50, lost .59 points in one lousy race, and I think only one of those incidents can I take the blame for...

must be the full moon

Ran 3 races today and each one was cursed.

That sucks man! All I can say is damn. Bit of advice though dont quite if you can still drive the car. You would be surprised at how much SR you can save just by going back out and doing clean laps.

Yeah! I had some unfortunate accidents over the past few races and lost about 0.4 SR. The loss was not a big bother, but it pissed me off being so far behind the race due to repairs. So last night I start 5th in a Skip Barber series and I decided to start from the pit. So, effectively started 13th and ended up taking 4th position with no major incidents! cowboy

It's so frustrating not to be able to reach in and just strangle the SOB who takes you out.

I looked up the driver who hit me and in his last 10 races he averaged 6 incidents each.

Getting taken out is always a frustration. One thing to keep in mind when looking at the amount of SR you lose or gain in any given event is that whenever your SR passes through a whole number there is a large "bump" in the direction it is heading (about 0.5 SR).

So if you last 0.59 in one race down to 2.50 then 0.5 of it was due to the "bump". In reality you only really lost 0.09 SR

Likewise if you are heading the other direction, lets say you were at 2.97 and gained 0.05 from an event you would actually get 0.55 which would put you at 3.52 SR.

The main reason they do things this way is to keep people from going back and forth across the whole number line quickly which can effect eligibility for promotion or participation in a series.

Hope this takes some of the sting out of it

Finally had a good 60 lapper at Richmond, started in the pits, made a mistake and hit a wall for a 2x but finished 2nd. Only got a plus .02 for it though.

My nemesis from the earlier race got another 8 incidents.
