So A little over a year ago, I discovered this Sim called The Hunter. Its just a hunting sim nothing more nothing less. Some of it is free to play, By some I mean you get on area, One gun with unlimited ammo and can only Hunt mule deer. I thought hmm could be fun. Well its is a blast! I loved this sim! I bought the 60 dollar package so I could hunt all the game that was offered and I got all the weapons and unlimited ammo for a whole year. I just paid 15 dollars to continue hunting for 3 more months. Still loving it below are some pics from in game. Enjoy!!!!! The area is based on Washington and British Colombia.

Some scenery shots.

Now animals.

And some right before the kill shots.

Looks fun. How big are the land masses? Any forms of transportation and what kind of gear do you get?

the areas to roam are huge! transportation is in the form of 2 legs as for gear, depends what you buy really.

Its a more a sim than arcade, if you want to kill a top scoreing animal with ease every 10 mins then dont bother, you CAN go several hours without seeing anything worth shooting, other times you get what you want straight away!

Been playing this for a long time. I pick it up every now and then and buy the three month pack. Great game, very atmospheric.

Yeah I wont lie that kinda sucks but if you do the 60 dollars for a year version you get all the guns and ammo included. Once that runs out you keep the guns and then pay for ammo unless you do another membership like I just did which was 15 dollars for 90 days. However you do get the use of a .243 and unlimted ammo for it and you can hunt mule deer on one of the lands, all for free. The mule deer in and of them self are fun to hunt. So I would say its more pay for different content but you can play for free. If your intrested at all I would check it out. Its free to register and download and play forever. So really you dont lose anything if you dont like it.

Been awhile since I last played but that was a very good hunting sim.

Aside from the glowing red/blue "signs" of the prey, which I understand for game purposes,I loved it.

LOL yeah I just found out you can turn them off! I do when I want a challenge but most the time I leave them on just to make it a bit more relaxing...
