In Japanese, which I don't speak, but some really nice photos in its 85 pages. 1500 Yen which is about £12. Not many books on the A-10 around.

Jake Melampy's "Modern Hog Guide" is a must have. 120 pages and just about every one is loaded with photos.

William L. Smallwood's Warthog: Flying the A-10 in the Gulf War is a great book, too. Precious few photos but great stories, directly from the mouths of the Hog drivers themselves.

I'd seen the first one before and its crazy price (EDIT: just found it online for £32 http://www.foyles.co.uk/item/History-Pol...y-9780979506420 ) and I have the second one twice now, once in print and on my kindle.

Yikes! They are really gouging you guys across the pond on these things.

Wonder what it would cost for a friendly North 'merican to send a copy or two your way...

[edit: just checked the US prices: apparently the Melampy book is no longer in stock and the used copies are being sold for ridiculous prices. I think I bought mine for $30 USD about a year ago, and the used copies are going for $200. Something just ain't right here. On a completely unrelated note, anybody want to buy a book? wink ]
