Hi all,

I'm looking to join a squad, but it seems that most squads cater to the Pacific time zone. If I can't get into the cockpit by 9 EST, then it's just too late for me. Anyone know of a group that starts flying a little earlier?

Goblin

The group need not be a US based group -- I'm just looking for something that fits my timezone a little better.

No throwing up any squadron signs and shouting 'East side!'

Speaking of which...

I'm wanting to push my A10C experience in the On-line sector, any tips of vFS to join in the old Europe?
I mean, realism and application is paramount but without hard-edge Military "This-IS-SPARTAAAA!" attitude...

Like, dunno, SimHQ Standards?

biggrin

I accept suggestions...

Well, that is precisely what I'm trying to do. Perhaps the topic name needs to be changed. I'd like to start flying anywhere between 6:30pm and 9:00pm EST. If you know of one please let me know.

I registered at the Draggins to see the resource info on the site and I think Paul and Eddie (and Ringo? biggrin ) are members there? I think I would need a lot more stick time before joining them though smile

Thanks Eddie, but I've seen that list. Very few, in fact I've seen none, of those squads post a schedule of flight times. I really don't want to register for every squadron on the list just to find out when they fly.

O.K. scratch that. You made me go through it again more thoroughly. I saw one that may work!

Thanks again. smile

Well, that's because many sqn's don't have set in stone flight times. The 1st for example, of which I'm a member, is one of them. With the way DCS works and dedicated servers running 24/7 people just jump in TS and and fly. Any formally scheduled missions etc are done individually via fourms and other methods.

Other sqns may just simply not publish such things, but if you ASK them, they'll tell you.

I don't think squadrons fly at any set time anyway, but rather it is up to the members to organize themselves and fly at certain times.

Goblin, correct me if I'm wrong but EST is GMT-5, correct? I fly at around 8-10pm GMT here, so that's anywhere from 3-5pm for you... on nights where I'm not working the next day I can fly until 12mn or 1am no problems biggrin I'm on TS3 now and will be flying tonight.
