Another put the lady in the seat (tandem F1 car) and turn on the camera. Painful when her head snaps.

Two thoughts:

1. Tighten that harness
2. Hit the gym a bit more

biggrin

That looked like a true 'rag-doll' experience for her. I suspect that she regretted that ride later in the evening, and for the next few days. Of course, that's what Motrin is for...

LMAO when the car is under heavy braking and her head is glued to the drivers seat

I was surprised that she wasn't given a HANS device.

Years ago I was gifted a few laps of Fontana speedway in a Petty Racing Experience car (as passenger). The car did about 150, so a fair bit slower than a Cup car, with less g in the corners as a result. Regardless, I was most impressed with the lateral g load of those Petty cars in the corners. After a couple laps, I found the HANS device very handy at relieving some of the neck strain of holding my helmeted noggin upright in the corners. I found the straps that connect the helmet to the shoulder device could take some of the load off my neck muscles when in the corners.

I now have a bigger appreciation of what loads a NASCAR driver has to endure for 3-4 hours, rather than the handful of laps I had to endure. I suspect the woman in that video has an even bigger appreciation of the forces an F1 driver has to endure in a race, although a HANS device and staps properly tightened might have made the ride more educational and less, er, painful. smile
