OK, so I have been planning on what to have available at our Super Bowl Feast...
Great thing, its not at my house, so I just have to bring food. And my buddy the host is a fantastic cook, so it's on!

Me:
Beef Brisket, to make Wifey's awesome brisket tacos
Beer Brats on the grill
Extra Sharp Cheddar cheese
Lil' Smokie cocktail sausages
Texas Beer (Shiner)
Wifey's 'One Step Margaritas'
Chips
Salsa

Host:
Teriyakki Chicken
Homemade Queso
Veggie Plate
Fresh fruit

Others:
'Nanna Pudding
Reese's Chocolate cake
Ice cream
Soft drinks
Adult beverages

Very simple, cheap, popular snack:
Take a 8oz block of Philly Cream Cheese
Cut in half, put on 2 small plates
Pour your favorite salsa over the top and around the cheese
Serve next to a bowl of tortilla chips

Everything on that list is awesome except the veggie plate.

Can I come over???

For sure if you want to put it all in one bowl, it would need to be super-sized!

So what exactly is in a "One Step" margarita besides tequila?

I am making a hot chili with veal and ground hot italian sausage, a home made coleslaw, a cheese dip for nachos, dry garlic pork, hot wings, a buddy is bringing beer, and the wife is making a chocolate dip for a fruit platter (how cute, she thinks some people will eat fruit!).

"One-Step" refers to how far you go if you decide to finish drinking a 2nd serving.

Haha! Nice. Tequila is great indeed but I usually have it in the "shot" version instead of a margarita.

I'm just bunging a pizza in the oven lol, a mate is supposed to be coming over. Wee hours in the UK, but I normally stay up. Watch it most years religiously though don't follow the regular season so much anymore, and lost interest after my team the Lions got blown out by New Orleans (yes, a Lions fan. Laugh away I don't care. Lion till I die! ) I've just found out Madonna is playing half time which has enthused me even less lol....but surely it can't be worse than last years gig. 'Usher'....WTF? I was actually half hoping for a sniper shot to ring out and end the aural pain and assault on me eardrums.

The last decent one I saw in recent times was The Who a few year back. Rolling Stones were pretty good too. I'll be backing the Giants for this one (just cos they are NFC), but don't know much about them these days. I stopped paying attention really after the Bill Parcells-Phil Simms- 'LT' era. Doesn't seem to be any continuity anymore, and its rare to see a player play out most of his career at one club....can't identify with teams anymore.

PS.....all the rule changes these days are BS as well. Seems a defender can't even touch the QB these days without a warrant being issued for his arrest lol. Wide receivers are also mollycoddled now it seems. Bring back the Ronnie Lott and Steve Atwater type masterfully executed violence lol....It was more fun then. Might as well come on the pitch wearing skirts. Pffft.
