One of my favorite books. I got a copy when it was released - I read the last page and immediately started it all over.

I was like that with all of Tom Clancy's books until after Without Remorse. At Executive Orders I lost interest. I got about 50 pages in and got frustrated with it.

Always loved reading HFRO, Redstorm Rising (favourite of all time)... Really liked Sum of All Fears... quite liked Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger (hated the movie)... Liked Without Remorse... Everything after that was meh- though I did like his factual writeups on Armoured Cav and I can't remember what the one on the air force was called but I do remember liking it- Air Wing or something.

Hey Crew! Long time no get blown out of the sky around! smile

I finally installed A-10 1.2 and DCS World this afternoon, and have been messing around with the editor now that sea assets don't crash the game. I set up two Ticos, a Perry and Carl Vinson to sail around in my gunnery practice mission, and the CGs started shooting their guns at the T-72s I set up to shoot! Very cool. I put a Grisha in for them to engage, and they did, but their Harpoons just kinda buzz around the enemy ship like it's a bee hive instead of hitting it.. Have you seen this?

I'm getting more and more accustomed to the TrackIR, every time I fly one of my missions I get a little more used to it in fact, I almost feel like I'm ready to start flying combat missions again in fact, it's a blast!

Hey tc, long time no hear.

I hope you kept the v1.1.1.1 for a bit. XRay planted an idea for next week top run through the older missions in a sequence while he is enjoying his vacation. Looking forward to it myself - but I do have to work my day job.

Also looking forward to the new v1.2.xxx stuff - like you say - fixed ships in missions, hopefully the ability to go from one mission to another w/o downing the server. Some changes in the current 1.2.xxx don't agree with my mission units so I'm waiting for the next update.

Glad you like the Track IR - money well spent, and it really brings out the visuals in the flying. Don't leave home base w/o it.

Just waiting for Eno to give a "Server's Up" message to go and try my new 'Back To School' mission. It has a twist that I hope everyone will enjoy biggrin

Back to School? Yeesh I missed a new mission - that seals it, I've been away to long! I'll have to join up once Eno gives the all clear!

Also here's a video, it's 3GS shot so it's a little meh, but illustrates the issue:

You can also probably hear the deck guns from the mini CSG I created, they had no effect either.

Ha! AGM-84s do that, too, in Thunder Of Kojori.

Ahh, well at least I can strafe gunboats now without CTDing. And yes I kept 1.1.1.1, unless DCS World or the 1.2 patch deleted it (but it seems to run inside DCS World) it should still be on my PC.

Interesting thread about the breakpoint settings for CBU-97s. Seems an hof of 700 is recommended instead of the stock 1800 setting.

Eh TC btw I was wondering when you were going to be back in here. How did you configure your zoom function? Which option did you think worked best? Did it live up to the hype?
