Well the jumping up in the air gives it away too. Jumping in the air is exactly what you want to do when shrapnel goes flying.

Looks faked to me. Real explosion...but it's more like a stunt charge, not a live grenade.

Jumping up in the air, to get low, wow, that just looks choreographed like some "Broadway showtunes" version of what grenade training might be like...and no bearing on reality.

Long time ago though, I did see a moderately similar training footage of some terrorists in North Africa in the 90's. One pulled the pin and threw it to the next guy, who then threw it to two more, and the last guy threw it over a rock wall or something. In description would seem the same as this video. But it wasn't: they were keyed up, they knew it was a real grenade, and when it detonated, they knew it was a full frag.

On the second 'pass the parcel' the last man seems to just drop it directly at his feet yet the explosion appears in the hole.

There is a side chute dug towards the person who drops the grenade so that he can drop it straight down instead of throwing it forwards where it might miss the hole. I have no doubt that it isnt a real grenade (probably just a stunt charge either in the sack or even already in the hole) but the guy does throw something down a hole near his feet.

The hole looks like this. You can even see debris come out of the hole he throws it into so it is connected.
