ENGINE WORN OUT

Why am I continously gettin' this message and I haven't even moved the tank 10 yards ?

Is it a bug of the game ?

Thanks

I should have specified a little more ...

I was in the first mission of the Tiger ... I started the engine and moved forward maybe 10-20 yards and stopped

I then engaged the enemy and while this was goin' on I started to receive the message ENGINE WORN OUT

What are the consequences of a worn out engine if I continue on and can repairs be made during game time play ?

I think you may have to pop over to the subsim tank forum and ask Zeewolf or Frinik. They are more into this game.

I didn't think it possible to damage the engine.(well maybe from enemy action)
I have certainly never seen it crop up for me.
Are you shifting gear as required?

Must be dodgy Wehrmacht oil!

Thanks Chucky ...

I have asked questions there and at Panzer Sims ... I did get a response on the ENGINE WORN OUT

Apparently you can't run the engine at high R.P.M. whether drivin' or sittin' as that will wear the engine out

I'm still learnin' this so I'm sure I'll have a ton of dumb questions ... just hope theres folks still around to answer wink

If my memory serves me well, I believe somewhere in the options menu you can deactivate the engine rpm overheat in the game.

Main Menu
Settings
Game Setting - Un click Engine Overheating

The T-34 is worst than the Tiger I.

Unclick it is not realistic. Just learn to drive as the Russains or the German of the time would do it, This is SimHQ !...;-)

Try to use that game as a simulator. That is more fun!

Ease up on the gas pedal, find the right gear for the right terrain, and once in a while cut the engine off so it will cool down and u will listen better to the battlefields sounds.

The technology of the time was not what it is today!
