The damage scripts that Fearless Frog posted a screenie of indeed had non-plane-specific names for the numerous damage modes.

I can't wait to get my Rata and Mig3 back.
I used to love flying through the mist in the I16 with that open cockpit, logging into Hyperlobby, hosting a CoOp, and sucking unwise 109's into knife fights on the deck over the snow covered steppes.
