I seem to remember a mod that lets you be a police officer in GTA IV where you can choose uniform etc and go after criminals. Does anyone know what this is called and also how do you install GTA IV mods because I had one once (the one that makes it look photo realistic) and had no idea what went where and there were no instructions.

I'd like to know this as well Mace....I bought GTAIV ages ago in a steam sale with San Andreas and Vice city. Hardly played it at all since I'm more into me sims but I looks like a good laugh. I think the mod you're on about is the 'ENB series' thing....but I'm not sure how to go about installing etc. I think it sorts out the anti-aliasing as well....but with a performance hit?

Haven't done any of the storyline yet, it's just funny going on 'drive by' rampages and knocking old grannies over. I know, I'm a terrible person.

Isn't the playable police a multiplayer mode?

Great thanks Mr_hill that works great! Downloaded from here http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/11-version-091-automatic-install/ after creating a free account and then it's a quick installing EXE file. Press ALT-P in game and you are transported in front of the Police station and you pick your character and car model and away you go

It doesn't behave like a police mod if it's just a cosmetic change. The basic gameplay is still the same, the characters just look different doing it. A true police mod couldn't be the go anywhere cause whatever mayhem you want game. It might be interesting for different reasons, but the action of course would have to be dialed back.

It's good enough. You get call outs etc and I tested driving into a police car and they din't come after me so that has changed. Good to play the other side in GTA 4 for a change.

Isn't one of the mods here a copper? Think it might be 'Magnum'? Can't remember. Just want him to know I do respect the Law, really....lol.
