I don't see anything too special,aside from the locations,BUT the aliens animations looks REALLY good, for me generaly animations are what break games, i can't understand why devs often overlook this,also i can understand they want us to fear the alliens,but i hate these sequences where my npcs buddies die when i CAN save them.in this day and age they should make these scenes more dynamic,like if get to keep those you saved,and they may die later still.

I admit it's cool to see the Xenomorphs move and attack animations...

Still... no visible effect of the acid blood on floor or walls.

Funny how many COD cliches are in that video...

Blood on the screeen! Sooo real!

I don't know. It'll either get boring fast or they'll add some cheesy gimmick to to add variety.

i guess this is beta, sure there isnt a destructible enviroment,but that fake looking transparency effect could be used,fanboys need to complain harder so they'll listen.And i agree,i'm tired of the splatters, and red blurry vision, if it was a darker blurry vision,like when you strain yourself too much fine, but RED ? just give me back my health bar,thank you.

I'm disappointed that there are no iron sights. I'm also disappointed it looks more linear that I would like it to be.

It looks like they're going for the CoD style of gameplay. Pretty linear but very cinematic. It's hard to extrapolate from those few minutes, but that level in particular is very scripted.

All of the Aliens games have been linear and story driven so it is no surprise that this one will be as well. I would love to have an open ended game where you get the whole facility to try to survive in but at the end of the day everyone seems to go with the canned script for aliens games which is frustrating.

The 'turret' scene of Cameron's movie is fantastic. The video didn't do it for me. I think the difference is that the protagonists didn't actually sit at the turrets and shoot aliens alongside it. They were in the command centre (correct spelling!) watching the ammunition dwindle down to (practically) nothing. As an audience, you knew that the turrets were going to be the most accurate & lethal device they could deploy save a nuke, and yet the xenos almost made it through. Personally think I would enjoy a 'commanding' style gameplay in that scene a lot better than simply shooting alongside the turrets. But that's just me.

Having APCs & powerloaders in the same room is a bit too cheesy to me... I smelt a setpiece a mile away...

The rhino alien is kinda cool - although they will only appear in setpieces. Lighting was just about right, and their mapmaking looks fantastic - I'm not 100% sold on the actual graphics however. Animations will be improved upon I hope! Drones didn't feel all that lethal in the video - there was a point where the player ignored being slashed at by a drone to help clear the powerloader... not cool. The marines gestures & mannerisms sounded 'modern' to me. Not cool 80s stereotypical like I would have expected smile

Overall - not sure I'll get it unless the reviews are positive...

Previous AvP game lasted all but a month in multiplayer front. Which is pathetic. Something tells me it will be exactly same.

What killed the multiplayer in that one is the fact that the game came with only 2 MP maps and additional MP maps could only be acquired by buying DLC's. The "special" kill moves were also overused way too much and it made the gameplay stale after a while. By comparison, AvsP 2 by Monolith was very active online for several years after release.

Yup, it was actually quite easy to facehug opponents since the facehugger is so small and fast. The difficult part was surviving as a chestburster after you turned into one! smile

i said on youtube,but i will post here as well, what they should do with alien franchise is left 4 deadcize it, make it so you are trying to survive against odds,but it is unsure you will get to the end, mix AI and player controled aliens to cause unpredictability and you have a great game.
