It looks like MIB-3 is channeling a tried and true Star Trek plot device. biggrin

Looking forward to MIB, but on blu-ray. wink Same with John Carter.
Prometheus...gotta see it at opening.

Riddick and Star Trek being 2013, too soon to think about too much.

I wonder if there are any straight-to-video or indie flicks coming worth watching?

Not scifi, but we watched "Atlas Shrugged pt1" last night. I don't think it was in theaters. I'm sure those that have read it would tear it aprat, but I thought it was extremely good. Nice cast, the story kept you moving and didn't stagnate.
I'd really like to hear about pt 2 coming this year, but I've heard news both positive and negative about it happening. It's got me wanting to read the book though.

Riddick and prometheus are my favourites out of that lot.

MIB3 may be one to for laughs with the wife.

And, do i need to mention my feeling about star trek...... (cough time travel / cough rediculous captial ship fighter turns, cough hammy downplayed disney acting.... cough), though i may still go and watch it

Atlas Shrugged did have a theatrical release but it was very limited. By the way Raw, did you recognize Graham Beckel in the movie? He played Admiral Cain's XO in BSG. He was Colonel Fisk.

The only ones on the list I'm interested in are Prometheus and John Carter. I wasn't that interested in John Carter, but I just saw it's directed by Brad Bird, who directed WALL-E, Finding Nemo, and A Bug's Life, which were all pretty good, so I'm hoping for the best on this one.

Brad Bird also did a damn fine job with the latest Mission Impossible film.

Sorry, I had the wrong name - it's Andrew Stanton, not Brad Bird. But seeing that a Pixar alum made a successful transition from animation to live action, it raises my hopes even more.
