Confusing interface and a little hard to learn but thanks to Chucky and Flashburn for their tutorial post in the Graviteam forum... finally got into the battles I was looking for... quick battle here, 1st kill, 1st victory... Move to contact simple mission... Bounding overwatch, then a flank, suppress, then kill...

This game is FANTASTIC and extremely detailed... once you figure it out.

It is amazingly detailed and I keep watching my units instead of watching for the enemy

You're not seeing all the commands.... in the lower right hand corner you'll see an up arrow. Hit it and it'll pop up more commands for moving on roads, formations, spacing, tanks first, etc.

Marders have almost no survival chance when used offensively due to thin armour and a high silhouette. Could you use some tanks as bait to draw the enemies fire then counter fire with the Marders ?

Were the SPW crew killed by mortar rounds ? I see a number of black dots in the air above them.

Been on the fence about getting this but I definitely will after seeing these shots. Looks nicely detailed. Great shots.

I have 2 days off now,lets see if I can follow you into battle.

I was just checking out units... threw a few of my favorites down, a few enemies I wanted to see in action... and set the objective... Used a tank platoon to suppress while i flanked with infantry and flame throwers (just to see people burn, lol)... Theres alot to this game, still need to learn ALOT... but it's more of a tactical RTS then a sim... but it is being reviewed by a guest writer.

To be honest,I would rather read a review on a game I have interest in from someone who loves that particular genre rather than someone who does not.

Was on the fence for this one for a long time...finally decided that I would pass on it. If they had the option for "turn based play" instead of real time, I would purchase.

Yes, I'm aware of that. You can do that in RT as well in CMBN. My point is you cannot really enjoy the detail in this game because you miss out on much of it while you are fighting the battle...you cannot be in more than one place at a time. You can pause to give orders, move to one area and observe the action but you have got to pick and choose which area due to real time. With turn based and replay, you can see them all at all different angles...not missing a thing. At least with the CM series, they give you the option. I've never understood why the developers for this one did not put in the option to go turn based with replay. Big mistake on their part IMHO.

First mission in my first campaign... Statistically i kicked there ass, and they retreated... yet it was scored a draw... go figure.














Really enjoying this game more and more as i learn and grasp it... Spent all day playing, disregarded the list my wife gave me this AM before she left for work, lol.

Very nice screens, and I'm recognizing some of the tanks from my time at World of Tanks.

Pity this game has no multiplayer, would rock to play this with another guy or two on your flanks.
