where the @#$%%^. Where are the instructions for accessing the cockpit controls so I can start engines among other things? Thanks

Start the engine with "i". If you have an aircraft with more than one engine, you will need to map the "select engine x" to get them started. There are some beginners guides on the net. If you want to try out an aircraft, without getting shot at, set up a multiplayer dogfight. You might want to use map 5 (summer), as only half the map is hostile. smile

There should be a pdf file called "Controls" in your install. This will give you a list of most of the Controls and their key or key combinations. There are several that will need to be defined by you. There should also be a pdf file called "Manual" in your install in the "IL-2 Sturmovik 1946" folder. Don't panic when you see that they are for Pacific Fighters since those are the most current.
