I downloaded the Mig-21 mod. It looks ok and I am somewhat thrilled about the crate. The only problem is that I
had to scratch a mission together for taking it for a ride first. I am not much of a mission builder and I
was just thinking if there would be a campaign for 21 already? Or if it is possible to modify some other for the purposes?
(Maybe difficult as the adversaries might be too hot and the payload is also not that thrilling - already in mig.29 campaign I get short in storage).

And then few questions - I am not able to zoom the cockpit display in and out (the waypoint or radar screen) and I am not able to move the designator left/right, only up and down...is that a bug or feature...?

the MiG-21 has 6DOF mod, but very limited 3D movement, you should ask Beczl http://www.youtube.com/user/beczl/featured

Oh, I am not talking about zooming the cockpit view - I am talking about changing the range scale in MFD in the cockpit. Additionally, I am not able to move the target designator left or right just up and down - so I always need to point my nose to the target before locking - it's like manouvering a tank without rotating turret wink

Is it possible to modify some exosting campaign-file or mission with some texteditor for the purpose?

For the radar in the Mig 21 from what I learned in Strike Fighter mods, the 21 Bis can't move it's radar disk left or right so you can only lock targets directly in front of you. As as I can see this is correctly modeled in this Mig 21 mod. Now I would realy like to know how realistic is the flight modeling.

Ok, roger that, what about range scale limitation to mere 16 kilometres?
Don't know about the realism of FM either, I think the death before dishonour take-offs are highly
suspect. On the other hand power reserves and agility ring a bell from descriptions, just don't
have any concrete data to compare (doghouse plots or so...), then on the other hand I am not even
sure that the FM for stock aircraft is on the mark...Somehow with missiles it's anyway secondary and
as I play only offline until now it feels twice secondary. Altogether I miss random elements and such in
the missions, if not dynamic campaign. Already falcon 3.0 had a multitude that seems to be well beyound
capabilities/interest of todays simmakers...(and yes that was then nothing in comparison to 4.0)
