Hey there!!

So I've been playing World of Tanks lately and while I know it doesn't support SLI yet I've been able to force it by opening the Nvidia control panel and going to the 'Set SLI and PhysX configuration' and toggling on 'Force SLI'.. this usually increased FPS from 25-30 to about 45 - 50. Recently I upgraded to a newer driver and that option has gone away to be replaced by a 'maximize 3d performance' option that uses SLI IF the game supports it... So my FPS has dropped back into the mid 20s low 30s. WTF ? smile Since WoT doesn't support it SLI doesn't seem to enable anymore even though it seems to say that it is on...

I've reinstalled older drivers (not sure if it was the right version though) but it still doesn't show a (Force SLI) option in the menu.. Anyone know which driver version supported this? Or better yet is there away to force SLI using another method? I used to have strange artifacts that would go away when I alt tabbed out and back into game... only using SLI did I see this... that's how I knew it was on smile , but now it doesn't do that anymore and the framerate is almost halved.

Any Ideas? Thanx!!

What card do you have? I play WoT with a HD 5770 and no need for any GPU tweaking...

I've got two 8800gt's w/ 1 gig ram (total) . As far as I can tell I've not change the in game settings to warrant the drop in framerate.

I've been reading and what maybe happening is that since WoT doesn't support SLI natively (or at all smile )The newer drivers may not be letting me force SLI... I recall the driver earlier version, that of course I can't now recall which, had a simple thing that just let me force it by selecting it....

Grrr. While I don't miss the strange video artifacts I used to get, After I alt/tabbed out and in again they went away and I had a very respectable FPS with no probs..

Sigh
