Hello to all Tankers out there!

I found a way on how to enable Anti-Aliasing in Sabow! bananadance
This Game looks so much better with this! thumbsup

1. First you will need Nvidia Inspector: http://download.orbmu2k.de/download.php?id=51
2. Disable the options "Smoothing" and "High dynamic range" in the SABOW-settings. (2.06 and 2.07)
3. Create a new Profile in NVinspector with "starter.exe" from your gamedir as "Current profile application"
4. Apply these settings as shown in the image:
5. Save the settings
6. Start SABOW and look at the beauty! jawdrop

Greetings,
Kurdes

And it will turn out exactly the same as ingame anti-aliasing, but just with crumpled to the interface and the text.
May be simply turn off the sharpening in the game settings - will be the same thing but without the bugs smile

P.S. LOD bias = -1.0 it's really bad thing.

Sorry to dissagree Andrey,
but with Sparse Grid Supersampling it looks way better, if not like NIGHT and DAY than the ingame AA!
Also the interface and text is as good as before! And the distant textures shimmer way less!
Try it if you dont believe me!

If you read a bit in Nvidia AA threads, (guru3d etc.) it is always recommend to set
a negative LOD bias when using Sparsegrid Supersampling!

2xSGSS set -0.5 LOD bias
4xSGSS set -1.0 LOD bias
8xSGSS set -1.5 LOD bias

It restores the sharpness on distant objects when using SGSS ...

Greetings Kurdes

We don't have any nVidia videocards, may be.
But I do not believe in miracles hick

Setting negative LOD bias to remove glitches of anti-aliasing (overblur), it's like cutting off head to cure a cold smile

Here we go... cheers

But only "after" shots, dont want to revert all my settings ;-)

In real life its even sharper, i think SABOW doesnt export screenshots in full quality...

Now somebody should post screenshots with default settings...

Im no video card guru (Ah pun) but wouldnt a - lod bias not allow textures to mip down? Wouldnt that have a big fps hit? Well game and card depending.

That is nice, however, what about ATI cards? I suppose Nvidia inspector is no avail to us, ATI card owners?

Ingame AA do the same thing, and work with HDR on all cards. (without bug with negative MIP bias for textures of course wink )

Hello JJJ65!

I dont have a ATI-Card at the moment, but have had in the past!
If i remember correctly the ATI-Supersampling is called "Adaptive Anti-Aliasing"...
You can activate it in the Catalyst control center. Make shure you disable the "High dynamic range" setting
in SABOW, as this is not compatible with extern AA-settings. Maybe this is different on ATI-Cards...

Site with infos: http://www.tweakguides.com/ATICAT_7.html

Just try it out and report your findings. Smile2

@ andrey12345:

Ingame AA doesnt do the same thing! The image quality is far better with activated SSAA, accept it or not! Its simply in the physics of the AA-Method.
You dont even tried it but keep posting wrong facts! Instead of shooting against methods that let this outstanding game
look even better...you could just build your knowledge up and give proper advises... nope

And of course: there isnt a bug with negative MIP-bias, its only a method of letting distant textures look sharper. Even without this Supersampling AA does look far better than ingame AA! Just read the link i posted...

I hope you dont feel attacked by me, i just want to correct this wrong oppinion. cheers

Greetings Kurdes

If you don't make negative MIP-bias ingame AA practically equl "Mega AA" from nVidia.

But it's pointless argument, because likes / dislikes - purely subjective biggrin.

I do not insist, like the AA from the video card manufacturer and is fast and without glitches - please use smile.
