It is quite possible that i could have the English Version done by North American evening of the jan 26. Ok probably about 14 hours from now biggrin German very shortly there after. Russian version takes more work when I don't have anybody to turn too. AAA from Sukhoi.ru forum hopefully will help. Really think its kind of retarded when Graviteams Andrey compiles your user mission for you in Russian. HINT HINT.

Had 4 downloads so far and no complaints. Im guessing everything is working? Still worried I didnt get all the files in the right places. Never ever work on multi language versions at the same time. Ugh my 2 monitors where covered in files I was working on. BAD, Dont do that. biggrin

Oh I'm a broken geek almost ex soldier, I have an empty wallet and more time than I know what to do with. I think thats called a life transition. LOL No these little projects of mine are good for me and really makes me want to go finish my 3d modeling degree. I just hope people have fun with them.

ON ANOTHER NOTE....

Attention Germans and German speakers.....
There is a possibility I put the Russian text file in the mini mod. If all your units are in Russian let me know. biggrin I put a German text file in the Russian version. oops

Excellent campaign. What a thrill ride! My palms are still sweating…

I ended up with a minor defeat; final score was 673 to 503. I lost 12 platoons to his 1, so I need to be a little more careful next time and not push my guys to the point of extinction Smile2
We both lost quite a few soldiers: I had 181 casualties, while he had 202.
They knocked out all 8 of my tanks while I got 5 of his, but I managed to get more than twice as many of his APCs (11) as he got of mine (5).

A memorable battle was near the Mardja School. We took quite a few of their APCs and a hand full of tanks out but our position eventually got overrun by a sneaky flanking maneuver by a couple tanks and an APC platoon. So I decided to high tail it out of there. We were left with one tank, one M113 and a handful of soldiers. It was an epic scene with explosions all around. We made a valiant last stand within the compound of what I presume was the School, gave him quite a bloody nose, but finally lost my final tank.

The campaign is so engrossing that even though I had no more tanks left, I wanted to see it to completion. My guys kept getting pounded and were under siege in the village at grid 9-4, but managed to hold out up until the final hours.

Anyway, sorry for the long winded post, but wanted to drop in to say Excellent Job! Please keep ‘em coming

REALLY REALLY recommend 4.01 historical units off. Unless you want a REAL hard time. Oh and 4.18 battle size, anything but unlimited. this will cause 2 problems. 1 if battle has lots of infantry major slow down will happpen and 2 it prevents an insane number of tanks in on one battle.

If theres no much force run like hell. biggrin

Played through the first mission.

I decided to be careful and make use of the APCs for recon. Got them set up with a reasonable field of view and close enough to give support to each other with the tanks hidden behind them with the infantry. The plan was to let the APCs make contact then withdraw while my tanks engaged the enemy.

So I sat and waited and waited. Nothing moved.

As usual, curiosity gets the better so I sneak one APC into a built up area and finally he spots an enemy tank. I get him out before any shots are fired and he's safely back in his original position with no harm done.

By this time the timer is getting low (must change that in settings) and still not much has happened. I expected further contact with the tank I'd spotted but none came which means...

My southernmost APC called out that he was under fire but spotted no enemy. Just that one brief contact and nothing more. Turns out the AI had bypassed my recon and was flanking my positions quite nicely.

End of turn and that was a draw. I'd captured some points but nothing significant.

Looking forward to the next round.

Atmosphere is great. Enjoyed it. I end up getting butchered by the enemy quite often though (will play again with historical units off).
I thought that that was the point of it though. To see how long you can survive, heavily outnumbered.

lol. its winable. Not easy, but you can win. Well let me know what you guys think about what if anything needs to change. Next SABOW patch will likly cause problems or even break mission. Dont know untill we get patch but I will more than likly have to rework it. You where suppose to get extra tanks from reserve but oops i tested with historical off. So the 2 extra you where suppose to have you couldnt get. oops With historical off you get 4 tanks to resupply your platoons. Basicly 1st platoon of A co was suppose to fill the ranks when tanks got blown up. Didnt work out quite the way I planned.

I have just had a go and re-enacted the Charge of the Lightbrigade lol. Wingman got taken out first with a track off but he continued firing at tanks behind walls. He got one as I saw the flames and smoke, I saw nothing but my gunner did and fired but they got my track too and my crew bailed out. Was only playing for a few minutes lol.

There is a vary strong possiblity that the my mini mod and beta 5 are NOT compatable. If you play crescent and it crashes randomly, please let me know. Well it is NOT with current version I have been working up. So let me know if it crashes out randomly.

The m113 is not useless anymore! YAY. Was waiting for that. Thats why so many m113's in mission.
