You helped me out last days and i am very grateful of that!
Now a i have a question about the controls. In the new version and updates, are there any new controls added?

Thanks,

Maurice

Hi mries.

As far as game controls go there are loads of things you can tinker with, but the most important is you can have two controllers. wink

Hi,

what do you mean with "new controlls"?

What comes to mind is the WEP button. The 100% throttle key work as WEP toggle button. At gamestart WEP is enabled(if the plane itself have WEP), to prevent overheatting with keeping as much power as possible its usefull to dissable WEP.

The new gun selection and fire sytem comes to mins as well. EAW now support two firebuttons. You can shoot all guns with one button, but you also can set one fire button for the main gun(smaler gungroup) and secondary guns(cannons or other MG´s). Additionally you can set a button to dissable a 3rd gungroup(gunpods, outer wing cannons for example)), which get fired with the "fire secondary guns" button.

Many planes also got combat flaps, not just the P51 and P38.

The breaks also work different now. The "break button" work more like a pedal now. Push it and the breaks get released, push it again and hold it, the breaks get enabled, leave the button, the breaks get released. If you hold the button down for around 8 seconds, the breaks get enabled permanent.

Greetings,

Knegel

Hi Ralf,

When a newbie or vet downloads the latest version of the 1.28e exe.
Is there an available 'Readme' file that explains all the enhancements
and variable control settings that are included in the D/L?

Cheers mate pilot

Thanks alot, it was useful.
I dont play with a joystick:( sad but true. So if i want to disable WEP i just set throttle on default 9?
Because i played a single mission interception and my speed was over 400 mph, and the heinkels were 160.
but my throttle was on default 3.
Also, planes are much more stronger then original, is that correct? i shot the hell out of the plane but only 1 engine was down while normally i can remember that the planes wing went off or explosion. Or am i just failing hard?:P

Hi maurice,

i realized that even a cheap joystick is better than a keyboard, please do a favour yourself and buy one! tactical

WEP is enabled when you set your speed full throttle, less than that and you will have WEP disabled.

about the speed problem, are you flying on easy flight model or realistic?

i don't know if you are running the latest fix_12 but the damage model has been worked by ralf and is much more realistic right now,

http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3477523/Comming_soon.html#Post3477523

and more realistic = more difficult biggrin

Cheers

Hi,
I downloaded the fix_12 and there is only a eaw.exe in the folder, is that correct?
Do i need to replace it with the one i have in my original eaw folder?

And yes i played easy and regular/average to get the feeling again with the controls etc.
Is that the cause of flying 400mph and still can fly miles even if my engine is down..
It is annoying while the enemy bf109's are flying max 200 mph.
Realistic is more fun i know, but only if you got the controls and gameplay under control again smile

Thanks for the help!
cheers!

The fix12 exe will replace the eaw.exe in your root folder.
Yes, the easy setting is why so fast......and easy.

I would make my settings realistic......even without a stick,
your plane will act like a plane.. thumbsup

The player-skill setting (Green Veteran Ace) only has to do with views.
Leave it at Green.
You also have a pretty good auto-pilot. Target a bandit then hit 'A'
and your plane will go after the bandit and shoot at it.

Dont forget that your brakes will be different with fix12. B will toggle your
brakes off when you first push it, but while landing, for instance, you will
need to hold the B button down, like a brake pedal.

The AI and the damage and bullet models will be better with fix12.
So hurry up and get a stick so you can act like you know what your doing! hahaha
