Anyone who thinks that constant sniping and negativity doesn't hurt a games chances of survival should look at what Jason of 777 says about that at the RoF forums. As for an agenda, some people have one, as witnessed by the idiot who used different user names to vote in a poll, and the guy, perma banned here I believe, who used three different names to stir up trouble in an update thread a while ago. All a bit weird and pathetic, but there you go.Maybe they will be happy when all we have left are console games. These people do nobody who like this hobby any favours. You are right there Uther - some dont se that and never will. The ground activities (according to the last update) will "not" be added yet or in the near future AND! The ground war have alway`s been part of the planning for clod, so nothing new there realy. saf

saf So why spend time and resources on it now, when there are much more pressing matters to attend to ? 3D and texture artists probably have a lot of time on their hands to work on such projects, but wouldn't the time it must have taken to work on the programming / DM part of the ground vehicles have been better spent on planes' DM and FM ? Besides, I didn't see any improvement on the engine in that video. Lack of FSAA is still apparent even despite the poor image quality. Cheers Nico

simulate the actual BoB experience? You don't say... Anyway the experience obviously won't be complete without Spit Girl's rideable bicycle, cottage and adorable fox terrier Mr Sniffles implemented. Oh and the milkman's lorry properly modeled too ! Cheers Nico

How about the inclussion of large-scale raids and a proper length offline campaign for both sides to simulate the BoB experience?.

I know m8, I'm agreeing with the "simulate the BoB experience" in a previous posting. The game doesn't simulate the large-scale aerial combat that was such an obvious feature of the Battle of Britain at all and it was after all a battle, not a hand full of disconnected missions. As a Brit, CLOD doesn't simulate the Battle of Britain at all for me and for others of a like-mind.

I made a post before release and said we wouldn't be getting a Battle of Britain simulator, i said it would be "a small scale engagement over the coast with BOB planes simulator " i wasn't wrong.

So why spend time and resources on it now, when there are much more pressing matters to attend to Kinda unfair to ask a question we have no answer to, but you're making assumptions VonBarb that seems a bit of a stretch. What pressing matters are they not looking into? Do they still not have different people working on different areas of the sim as in the past? Is it more efficient to have 10 people working on FMs, DMs, etc, or 2?

You weren't wrong, I sincerely wish you had been but you weren't. If the game simulates ever bullet hit every bit of damage, flight controls, flight physics etc. as realistically as claimed then we'd all need an IBM super computer the size of my garden shed to run it .
