I've just bought & installed il2 1946. Whilst digging around in my cupboard I found this game Ostfront which I must have bought a few years ago. It says it's an expansion for il2 FB which is in iL2 1946. Can I install Ostfont to play along with iL2 1946 or can it only be played with FB installed separately? Hope I haven't made it too confusing?

There should be no problems using it as-is on the IL-2 1946.

Yes, you can install OstFront into your IL-2:1946 installation. OstFront, Battle Over Europe, The Last Days (and others) are all pay-ware add-ons that work well as part of IL-2:1946.

That's one of the good things about the IL-2 series... Old add-on content still plays as well -or better- than it did when it was new.

The only problem I had with the Battle over Europe addon was getting the "Royal Air Force" update at Just Flight for it to work since the update is looking for something from IL-2FB and not IL-2 1946.

I just found my copy of Ostfront,how do you install it on a Win 7 64 bit system ? The built in installer didn`t work for me.

I just put BOE and Ostrfront in the game,and now,the game won't even run.Go figure.I'm running 4.11,as well.
