I just wondering is it poss to stop the shimmering on the hoizon it mainly happens with the ground not the sea.

I can live with it if it's just a EAW thing after all we are talking about a very old (but good) sim.

Some PC Spec -

Windows 7 64 BIT
CPU - Intel i5 2500K
Ram- 8 GB
Card Radeon HD 5850

Most of the setting in the card set up are set at "use application settings" the Anti-Aliasing mode set at Quality.

Now I have no graphic problems with any sims on the PC so I do not realy want to change a lot of the settings like I say I can live with the shimmering but is there a way of reducing it.

Thanks for reading my boring posts.

A reborn EAW Nut case.

Olddog,
I dont believe EAW provides any application settings, so you would have to make a setting.
I think you can make a 'game-profile' in your video card settings that you can just click on
when you fly EAW.
You'll want to at least turn on anistropic-filtering to at least 4x to 8x. (If your card provides
higher, try it.) Antialiasing should at least be 8x. (Antialiasing helps with jaggies....or that
stairstep effect you see on 3d edges. Anistropic filtering helps with the overall image quality
and shimmering.) Basically thou, you have to try different settings and see what looks best.

Don't say "this is my last question". If it is truly your last, then ask and die!

Hi,

you can try to run EAW in glide mode. To do so you need a Glidewrapper(look out for zeckensacks glide wrapper).

I run EAW only in glide for exact this reason. smile

Greetings,

Knegel

Olddog,
try this one:
http://www.zeus-software.com/downloads/nglide

Works great! (Thanks for the link rwatson!)
After you install it, open the configurator, make a couple of
settings, go into game and set graphics to glide, and it
should look pretty good.

You have to change some of the settings in the configurator.
I used this one for a little while, but just liked the
simplicity of Zekensacks and went back to it. I have an
older video card (GeForce 5200) and WinXP, so Zeks seems better.
