Came across this video today of a not-so-successful effort to put an A-4 on a pedestal.

Was everyone else's video followed by the female Legolas in the gymnasium?

I have used cranes for large tree removal several times and am glad our operators are better than that. Trees falling through the roof is bad for customer relations.

About that A4, just sad.

That archeress, she was speaking elvish; or at least it sounded something like that.

The crane video was sad ....and the archery kinda cool (pretty light weight bow and short distance...but the speed was amazing)

A4 was not the crane drivers best day frown

Archery was good for the speed she was shooting but not super accurate, certainly I could not fire off my arrows at that speed with my bow.

Hey was that Harry Potters best mate auditioning for the new Hobbit film?

They were probably told they couldn't go on the pristine grass with the boom-truck and that was the end result.

A few years ago we were using something similar (much smaller of course) for our landscaping company to place these giant landscape boulders, and the owners didn't want us to so much as scuff the turf. In the end we couldn't move a couple of the rocks because the load was too much for the boom length. At least my crew boss was smart enough to call it off and not have something like that happen!

I was thinking the same thing. Might have been better to have to sod and reseed in the long run.. Doh!

Sad to see them drop the plane. I hope the crane operator had good insurance before the accident because I'll bet he didn't after it.
