Nice! Like it.

Just one constructive point: the impression of speed (like in racing photography) is gained by having the subject sharp, but the background in motion(blur).
If you still have the source, you could try it on that. "Cut out" the aircraft and motion blur everything else.

True ... true ... but this way it does not look like 10 million other modern special effect shots. This is more like a wiggly photograph.

I like it just the way it is right now. It reminds me of something you would see out of the corner of your eye and not something where you were focused on the subject matter initially.

Thanks for your interest, listening to critics is always the best way to learn. You are right, but the problem is that this one is a remake of an old one I already did. The "lets call source" had a motion blur applied as well, so I just had a way to make it "sharper", and it was just what you tell here; I made a cut of the plane (which was already with motion blur) and I applied a stronger motion blur to the background, so the whole composition looks better. In addition to his, I have added the "dust clouds" in both sides.
Glad you like it, cheers:

Not necessarily..

In alot of racing pics the subject is also blurry giving the feeling of motion as well..it all depends on camera used and settings used when snapping the pic...example being http://bangshift.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/ford-drag-racing.jpg

I personally like the blurred look to the image..looks like it was taken as a spur of the moment with the camera man spinning around to get the shot and the camera still moving when the shot was snapped and not like a staged on with the cameraman sitting in place just waiting for the plane to pass in front to get the clear unblurred shot.

very nice, dunno about the plane being blurred slightly bit too much, but overall has a nice motion feel to it yep
