For all I can understand, apparently Starshoy has not vanished for good and the DGen code is being re-written.

The way I read it (by translator program) Starshoy gave Asura the source code and Asura is re-writing it. The source code he gave Asura was 4.0.4.1 from 2006 and not the most current version of 4.0.8.6.

I hope Asura will present his project in one of the English language forums too. As a Dgen campaign builder I am very interested in getting more detailed information. If he is really able to build an improved DGen it would be good for him to get in contact with the non-russian Dgen campaign builders.

I am not sure but it looks like the Alpha DGen will only work with a modded install for now ??

I dropped it into standard 4.11 and was able to gen a Crimea career, but get an error when you exit the mission and it's supposed to parse the results.

The new Dgen will work in the modded and unmodded version of the game. The alpha version is only for testing and debugging and some parts are still missing. At this stage I don't recommend to use it, it's still too early.

Juri, could you possibly share some more info on the new DGen? Is there a way to add new maps (by the end user), for example?
