The variety of possible missions is much wider than in CLOD.

When hopefully one day the AI part for the groundunits is fixed, the possibilities for the mission-makers will be even better than in Il-2 I guess.

Yeah, I see that now, per my reply to Frey above. I'm disappointed no Med/N. Africa (for now, anyway). I can see the appeal to a wider audience that BoM would generate, including the potentials you illustrate in your post. So......which language is harder to learn: Russian or German?

If one looks at the loss numbers and a/c numbers in the East and the West for the Lw, the losses and a/c numbers in the West were much higher than in the East.

I'll just say that going from 10 fps to 15 fps is a 50% increase in performance. smile

I stand corrected: it was 80% of the armed forces excluding the air-force. notworthy

I really need to give myself a refresher. Those are astounding casualties! Really, opening a 2nd front over Germany...

Eh, those are the numbers for one Jagdgeschwader only!

impossible that it is only one Jg..

During this period, a total of 8600 operational aircraft were "lost" in the East, while 27,060 were "lost" in the West; the ratio of western "losses" to eastern "losses" was thus 27,060/8600 = 3.41 to one.

My character somehow got all twisted up. I was playing the mission where you have to infiltrate the Golden Glow Estate and do multiple things. When I was out burning beehives and fighting I just eventually ran away to view my success from a distance. I first noticed it when I squated down on a tree trunk. Coot..the squatter../simHQ/2011

Don't forget that (1) the bulk of the Luftwaffe was in the West, especially from 1944 onward and (2) while Soviet aircraft quality improved substantially from the disasters of 1941/42, Soviet pilot quality on the whole was never really more than average in the later years.

i can remember the massacres that the 109F-4s did in 1941/42 easternfront IL2 OnlineWar scenarios , and now they want to repeat that so fast biggrin

a 1943 Kursk would have been more balanced in plane qualitiy - but i guess we will see something like this too in the future wink

I wouldn't read too much into these screenshots - they were taken in the tools (not in the actual game engine).

Sorry, I am going to gently disagree about the jaggie antenna wire.

The 1C: Maddox record on this is not good. They loves them some jaggie or broken wires!

So how good are they going to model that land war machine, or is it going to be as missing as the Royal Navy?
