That 30 Best vid is a pretty good representation! Personally, I think that as much as I have griped in the past about pop trash, we have seen the growth of a pretty darn good catalogue of rock-n-roll / rock music . . . and all of the other permutations thereof.

recorded in August and released in October 1969. The darkest, loudest prog. riff ever in my opinion.

This rendition live, a number of years later.

Bands such as Tool, etc list this as their start of their journey into metal when they first heard when young.

Here is a "modern version"



The album came out before the first Black Sabbath album, which is seen today as the birth of heavy Metal.

King Crimson were more a unique combination of Rock, Jazz and progressive.

From the same album something completely different ( remember this stuff was written 42 years ago). The singer is Greg Lake who loined ELP after the release of this album
