I'm more of a collector of diecast models as I haven't assembled a plastic model in years but taking a look a this new tech I'm exited for whats coming down the pipes for the future. It's pricey and small scale at the moment but in a few years...

Mmmm, I'd rather go with MakerBot, who kicked off the affordable 3D printing market some 3 years ago.

Looks like the cubify's model size and price sits about halfway between both Makerbot models.

We've come a long way since the Dot Matrix printers of yesteryear.

It looks like an amazing tool for 3D prototyping. On the first site I saw a demo of someone making an iPhone case that looked like swiss cheese.

Artists will flood the streets with the advent of this new tool. Now you can undo a hammer strike on a chisel. Go figure!

hahaha Fortunately artist and their customers prefer natural materials, not ABS polymer. smile

I can imagine someone with a Logitech G9x making his own hand rest that snaps on to the mouse:

Or joystick parts, like the pinky-paddle?
