Does anyone know of any good films that have been made that were based on the battle?

The Horatio Hornblower series took place much later, right?

HH started before Trafalgar, Nelson gets quite a few mentions but Trafalgar has never been mentioned in the series. The last episode of the TV series is in the lead up to Trafalgar and setting the scene for it, He got command of HMS Hotspur in 1803, but as I have never read the books I'm not sure if he actually fights at Trafalgar.

Great people, these Brits ! but I frankly wonder what would England do now without having the Napoleonic war and the 100 years war (in spite they've actually lost the latter one) in its history...went into bookshops in London last summer,in their history section, half of the books sold there were about Ajincourt (that whe call Azincourt in France) , Waterloo or Trafalgar.

I love the books, FAR better than the TV series.

Forester's last, unfinished Hornblower book, H and the Crisis involves Hornblower in the events leading directly to Trafalgar, but don't know if he would have fought in the battle itself.

Just read a synopsis on Kindle, I think I will queue it up and have a read once I have got through the current backlog of books to read.
Thanks.
