I switched to 4.11 but how when I hit the map key and the map pops up the little while plane that moves on the map is gone. Some of the fellows I am playing on line have it and others like me do not.

Any clue to solution?

If you play online, this is set on server side.
If you play offline, you need to check your difficulty settings. With 4.11 we included more detailed difficulty options, and it may happen, that the switch for you map icon is set to OFF now.
