Cool, here is an awesome video with it. Takes patience to get to the good part.

Ah .. what's happening there ? Ok you make holes in walls and can vanish through them but .. Why did a hole appear in the street ? She just jumped off the roof, and landed on another .. ? I admit i don't understand the end ??

That's a gun-like device that can (among other things) create shortcuts in space between two points you designate with it. Left click open a hole, right click open another hole, jump in one hole, exit through the other. Am I right? (didn't play Portal actually)

I understand THAT, but why is she in a room with a 2-D panorama, in the end ? She made a hole at the railings of this first roof, but when jumping instantly below her another hole appeared, but she was "flying" over this hole landing on the other roof.

I take it you haven't played Portal then ?
Yea. Playing the game allows the video to make sense. Cake is a lie, and such.

Catfish, and other readers who have never played the games Portal or Portal 2:
Yes, you need to have played one of the Portal games to get it.
The device is the "portal gun" from the game. The setting is the Aperture Science laboratory. Aperture is the corporation that built the portal gun. The actress is playing Chell, the protagonist from the Portal series. The game involves Chell attempting to escape from the Aperture labs, after some sort of disaster has taken place, of which only Chell and GLADos, the complex's artificial intelligence, are the only survivors. Most of the early stages of both games take place in testing areas where the subject uses the portal gun to solve a 3-D puzzle, in order to escape. The video shows Chell completing one of the puzzles in live action, though the puzzle is not one from the game. The concept is a lab rat in a maze. Hence, the escape being a lie at the end, with freedom being only a projection on a wall. The whole thing was a test, with Chell the test subject.
Click to reveal..
In the first game, Chell, the lab rat, is encouraged to complete the tests with promise of reward: A party with cake, once she completes the testing. But the cake is a lie, and GLADos tries to incinerate Chell at the end of the testing series. This sets up the final boss battle between Chell and GLADos.
The video is some sort of prequel, taking place at the beginning of Chell's experience at Aperture Labs. Or, it may be her mother. If I recall correctly, the Portal backstory had Chell being born and raised at the facility.
Catfish - The reason that the woman appeared to 'fly' when she jumped off the roof is because she 'painted' an exit portal on the side of the building and an entry portal on the ground below. The faster you enter an entry portal, the faster you exit an exit portal. To quote GlaDos from the first Portal game "Speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out." She exited the exit hole with the same velocity as she entered in the entry hole. Therefore, she was catapulted across as the exit portal was facing side/side and not up/down. The 2D panorama is to show that the whole thing is taking place inside a facility, and basically any lengths to 'escape' are in vain. I don't think that this is really a spolier, but I apologize if anyone hasn't played Portal yet and in the long run I have spoilt it for you!
But to get off the subject of the Portal Gun, this topic actually started about the Gravity Gun. Two different 'guns' from two different games. I blame Jim for derailing the topic!
Hey letterboy1, did you know that there's a mod to use the portal gun in singleplayer HL2? Or rather, you actually use the HL2 maps in Portal. I've tried it and it's not perfect, but it's good for laughs...
