Ok, what's "data path" and "scenario path"?


I tried to set it up as follows:

"text file path" - set to the same as the earlier version (which was working BTW)

"data path" - set to the root folder which is where the .dat files are located

"scenario path" - set to the same root folder since I want to edit standard EAW

"EAW path" - set to the root folder too.



All I get is runtime error 76.



My thinking is that the program should just assume that it's residing in the same folder as all the other files it needs to run.

I see that your way is more elegant since you can have one copy of the program and set it up to edit multiple scenarios. My point as a scenario maker is that it's not really necessary as I'm only working on one scenario at a time. Personally, I think we'd be out of our minds if we tried to edit more that one scenario at a time. ( No comments from the peanut gallery, thank you )

I'm simply mentioning it if it makes the programming any easier.

Make sure you double click the folder to set the path- you probably did but I'm just making sure.

Yeah I did double click each box to set up the paths and the paths showed up correctly in the boxes. I still get the "runtime 76" error.

The problem is I don't know exactly what the paths are.

Could you elucidate what all four paths are supposed to be?

Runtime 76 is folder not found.

Make sure that your four folder paths are listed correctly before you launch.

Alright but I've just got regular old EAW installed with no scenarios, only the standard folders plus the folders that came with your earlier campaign editor and I keep getting the error.

Did you get my folders from the dropbox link I posted about four posts back?
Try those and if they work then see what is different with your set up.
