Ok, what's "data path" and "scenario path"?
I tried to set it up as follows:
"text file path" - set to the same as the earlier version (which was working BTW)
"data path" - set to the root folder which is where the .dat files are located
"scenario path" - set to the same root folder since I want to edit standard EAW
"EAW path" - set to the root folder too.
All I get is runtime error 76.
My thinking is that the program should just assume that it's residing in the same folder as all the other files it needs to run.
I see that your way is more elegant since you can have one copy of the program and set it up to edit multiple scenarios. My point as a scenario maker is that it's not really necessary as I'm only working on one scenario at a time. Personally, I think we'd be out of our minds if we tried to edit more that one scenario at a time. ( No comments from the peanut gallery, thank you )
I'm simply mentioning it if it makes the programming any easier.
