Good to be back.

Now a question or two.

What is the deal with the convergence. I assume the 'Z' is for distance in front and is in yards, but what about the 'Y'? Is it to combat bullet drop? if that is the case what is the measurement.

And second, why the hell did my boys open up on me after landing at my home runway after my first mission it DAW? I joined the 41st at Benghazi and they AAA me on the runway after a successfull mission and landing frown ..... Ended that career awful quick smile

Hello,

welcome back.

Y adjust how much the guns shift inward, Z adjust the up/down setting.
All planes got a basic convergence setting. At the config screen you can adjust this for all planes at once, so there is no real measurement.

Greetings,

Knegel

Dumoulin.

Thanks for the skin! now how do i go about setting it up? Are there any tutorials on how to use the new files system?

Knegel, thanks for the explanation, i assumed the z and y axis the other way round smile. Flew a couple of missions last night, funny i much prefer EAW to IL2 even if i cant use wide screen th2g. Its soooo, nastalgic.

I still have a bunch of my old add ons and would love to change the music in the bunk house etc, but im not sure how all this works, so can someone point me in the right direction, i dont mind reading.

Cass

Thanks for the welcome, Skylark if I could tell you why myself and others return to EAW with so many good looking sims out there WHY would any one want a 1998 flight sim if I could answer that I would make a lot of money.

When one looks back at what sims were out then only one other springs to mind that has stood the test of time for me and that's Janes WW2 Fighters and I have the boxed version and it still runs on W7 64BIT O/S.

For me EAW loads quick has nice content flys well looks good in a sort of oldie way, I like the voice overs screens Ho so mutch I like of it, it's just like an old friend for me. Any way when one gets to my age you seem to look back a lot more.

If I could have just one wish it would be better cockpit graphics.

EAW long may it live.

Hi,

we already can have way better cockpits, but we miss the skilled people with enough time to create them. frown

Greetings,
