In BMS 4.32: How to you run your chosen EWS Program setup in the Data Cartridge while in the pit?

I see that the "Z" and "X" keys run the CMDS Programs but which one (ie, 1-4)? IS their a seperate keystroke to run the selects Program or to you use z and x?

And does the in pit EWS Program switch correspond to the corresponding DC Ews Program (1-4)?

B.T.W. KUDOS to the BMS team for thier outstanding work on this classic sim!!!

Thanks!

The Z and X keys both run the EWS program you currently have selected, no matter the setting (MAN / SEMI / AUTO) of the EWS. You can select the active program with the PRGM switch on the EWS panel. Note that next to EWS Programs 1 to 4, there's also a Program 5 (slap switch) and Program 6 (CWS Left). So all in all, a F-16 pilot can immediately choose between three programs, and three more programs through the PRGM switch.

I prefer Program 5 and Program 6 as "panic button" programs myself—Program 5 for some chaff and Program 6 for a string of flares—but how you program your EWS is obviously entirely up to you.

The BMS manual has a rundown of the EWS on pp. 114-118.
