With Ignorance [lack of knowledge of the true reality found in future features] as condition, Mental Formations arise

With Mental Formations [guesses] as condition, Consciousness arises

With Consciousness [expectations] as condition, Mind and Matter arise

With Mind and Matter [sleeplessness] as condition, Sense Gates arise

With Sense Gates [over-analysing dev updates] as condition, Contact arises

With Contact [experiencing the release version] as condition, Feeling arises

With Feeling [emotional reaction] as condition, Craving arises

With Craving [desire for perfection or the womb of pre-release ignorance] as condition, Clinging arises

With Clinging [refusal to accept the release version as it is] as condition, Becoming arises

With Becoming [separation into a fanboi vs. whiner dualism] as a condition, Birth arises

With Birth [existence as forum life] as condition, Aging and Dying [reduced motivation to participate at SimHQ and be involved with the product] arise

The source of suffering is desire - the solution is to develop a capacity for non-attachment (among other things)... (apparently)

Either I've finally snapped (again) or Buddhism should be taken up by us denizens? What do you think?

My character somehow got all twisted up. I was playing the mission where you have to infiltrate the Golden Glow Estate and do multiple things. When I was out burning beehives and fighting I just eventually ran away to view my success from a distance. I first noticed it when I squated down on a tree trunk. Coot..the squatter../simHQ/2011

lol - that one is going in the scrap book! smile

To paraphrase:

Joshu asked Nansen: `What is the patch?'

Nansen said: `Everyday life is the patch.'

Joshu asked: `Can it be sought?'

Nansen said: `If you try to seek it, you will be far away from it.'

Joshu asked: `If I do not seek it, how can I know it is the patch?'

Nansen said: `The patch does not belong to the perception world, neither does it belong to the nonperception world. Cognition is a delusion and noncognition is senseless. If you want to reach the true patch beyond doubt, place yourself in the same freedom as sky. You name it neither good nor not-good.'

At these words Joshu was enlightened.
