I didn't like the cartoon much, but one of my best candidate would be Pole Position, they could do a movie about how the pilots end up toguether by odds without knowing they are brothers being used by wheover was on the monitors to fill their parents role on his own agenda, then finding what their parents did and their kinship. i would get rid of the mutant cat thingie all toguether though, the cars ai could be updated, and the end would be the sibblings acepting their fate going towards the cars in the sunset, then the cartoon theme song start slowily rising and and a voice over narrates the exact opening of the cartoon- "From now on, like you parents were, you are the secret force of pole position",and the cars revs, and move towards the camera with the logo coming behind them. And the audience would cry....i know i would :P

Voltron

Thundercats

Starcom

Bravestarr

Dinosaucers

Gobots (well, the last two Transformers films were even worse than that cartoon...)

She-Ra

My Little Pony

Rainbow Bright

Gummy Bears

The Wuzzles

I could keep going too...

Not sure about the starring role, but I reckon Stephen Merchant would do a fine job as Penfold.

Or Jonny Quest.... and no, not that 80-90s version. I mean:

i love herculoids but i don't think it would transition well to big screen, now johnny quest is BEGGING to be done, that fact that it hasn't show how stupid whoever holds the right are or how inept are the scripts sent.

G Force, or did they already do that ? I always thought Princess was super hot biggrin Loved Starblazers too, those two were my fave as a kid.The cool thing was that Starblazers actually had a complete story and an ending, not just an ongoing kill the different baddie every episode type of deal, although of course they had to wink

Loved G-Force, but I think the cartoon was called "Battle of the Planets". I was gonna chime in with that recommendation too.

This! Also in Dutch it was called Battle of the Planets. Loved that show as a kid. Especially when the leader (Jason?) trrrransformed his normal plane into the cool spacecraft

I'd say Cowboy Bebop counts. I have sometimes thought of it as another version of Fire Fly..

One cartoom I'd like to see but it'd have to been done right is "Jonny Quest" though I have no idea who could be in it anymore.
