Max2012, "relief" at Ashuluk will be added in the future, it has been discussed before. Regarding the "dogon" mode, it is still not clear, how these modes should be operated. Try and experiment for yourself, like we all do.

The same in Russian:
Max2012, relief v Ashuluke budet dobavlen pozzhe, uzhe obsuzhdalos zdes. Chto kasaeta rezhima "dogon", do sikh por ne yasno, kak eti rezhimy pravilno ispolzovat. Experimentirui, kak my vse.

Does a direct hit of missile on the target is simulated in Volkhov/Dvina, without use of proximity fuse?

No

With Volkhov, I had several situations over Hanoi where I had to fire the missile with "rabota ot K3" switch activated because of that nasty chaff layer, and with range boresight placed farther than the target actually was, and missiles did hit their targets. I could only explain this as a direct hit.

That is a program bug.
K3 should detonate when the missile reaches the range boresight.

Reloading the Volkhov/Dvina in combat conditions. What are exactly the criteria for initiating the reloading? With me, sometimes it starts, but sometimes not. I guess it had something to do not only with "gotovit" switch (to which position it should be placed, by the way, for reloading?), but with some other switches, too. What is the proper procedure?

It depends on the GOTOVIT switch.
3 will prepare - 3
6 will prepare - 6
N will start reload after launch (takes some time) until stock is exhausted.

Regarding the "dogon" mode, it is still not clear, how these modes should be operated.

The original Dvina system was designed to shoot incoming targets only. (target coming towards the SAM site)

In Vietnam because of the big numbers of attacking US aircraft, a new requirement was drawn...
... the system should be capable to shoot after receding targets also. (target flying away from the SAM site)

The big problem with it, is the missile radio proxy fuse, that expects incoming target, and detonate the warhead accordingly.
Against a target that is flying away from the missile, it is too early, and the fragments never reach the target.

This is why the DOGON mode developed.

It is actually detonation with K3, just the SNR delays the K3 command a bit, enabling the fragments to reach the target.

No plans for the future at all!

Will Shilka or Patriot is also not clear to anyone.

About a development plan should be, but it is not present.

When there are no plans to be 923.1

Approximately when!

max2012, no offense, but you're getting a bit annoying. Most of need-to-know things are described in the manual, the rest can be learned by reading this thread, not to mention other literature on the subject, such as that at http://historykpvo.narod2.ru/, especially considering that you can read Russian. Also, thank God Hpasp is so patient and is willing to answer all questions! There also were excellent tutorial videos on youTube, but sadly, they are gone now - author closed his account.

The S-75 NEVER been able to successfully intercept the SR-71, so here, simulator is perfectly accurate. "Dogon" cannot be used against SR-71, because SR-71 flies faster, than your missiles do.
If you have more questions, my ICQ is 632449205 - will try to help.

The same in Russian:
max2012, izvini, no ty stanovishsya nemnogo nazoilivym. Bolshinstvo neobkhodimogo opisano v instrukcii, ostalnoe mozhno uznat, chitaya etu vetku, ne govorya uzhe pro drugiye istochniki, kak http://historykpvo.narod2.ru/, tut u nas s toboi bolshoye preimushestvo - my govorim po-Russki. Takzhe, slava Bogu, Hpasp ochen terpeliv i otvechaet na vse voprosy! Ranshe na YouTube byli otlichnye obuchayushiye roliki, no k sozhaleniyu, oni seichas udaleny - avtor zakryl svoi account.

V realnosti, S-75 NIKOGDA ne sbival SR-71, tak chto tut simulator absolutno realen. "Dogon" nevozmozhno ispolzovat protiv SR-71, potomu chto SR-71 letaet bystree, chem tvoi rakety, i oni prosto ne dogonyat ego.
Yesli yest konkretnye voprosy, pishi ko mne v ICQ 632449205 - postarayus otvetit.

For example, the 6th minute.

Most realistic what I seen in a film ever...
(except that they filmed it in a Volhov, instead of a Dvina)

You can see a Jamming plane, burnthrough, SAM and HARM launch, double kill...

Nice one, MK_PL. I don't mean hearing last moments of someone's life, but nevertheless, in terms of the struggle we want to understand as deeply as possible... Thanks again.

Hpasp, in the meantime I contacted peters-ada.de webmaster and he confirmed that boresight can be moved from angle trackers' positions only. You were right. smile

No problem. Maybe now you'll leave those Wild Weasels alone and concentrate on the B52's!
