and you guys do still really like the odd vaseline look of DCS? its an aweful effect!

If you don't like the effect you can turn it off. I have it off on my PC.

That screenie in the middle was done with the HDR set to Cold - it does add a winter chill to the air; the pic was reduced down to 40% size. I've had it set on Hot, too, adds a yellow tint...
