Sean replied and said he is trying to get it on steam but hasn't heard back from Valve yet. I hope he hears from them soon, the game looks like fun!

I was going to ask the question as to what Desura is but it was answered. I just thought it was an online game retailer. If it does come to steam I'll nab it from there for certain. If it doesn't, I won't let that get in the way of getting the game as I'm very interested in it.

Obviously I'm going to say this but you guys should really give Desura a chance its a great store client and they are integrated with IndieDB and ModDB. Its not just about sales of games but also bringing together Indie developers and Mod development communities. It lets mod developers distribute through Desura and keep your Mods up to date as well. You get to see Indie games in development some are free, some are in 'Alpha Funded' by the community which is basically a way for people to preorder while the game is still in development to help support interesting and unique games.

I understand not wanting to have to run multiple clients though.
I personally don't have issue with Desura's TOS, they are a reputable company.

I have been contacted by Gamers Gate and they will likely be distributing the game as well soon.

It may take a few other places selling the game before Steam will take notice...

I'm sure there is nothing wrong with desura as a game client. I am going to wait a bit until it pops up on another delivery service, and also when it's full price so you get a little bit out of it! For me, it's a no brainier purchase as it looks great and I dig the subject matter. Looking forward to it!

You need Desura to download and update the game.

After that it can be played without Desura.
