First of all, great work on this amazing mod!

I've just started using EECH last week, and I have a question; when I'm playing a mission my wingmen are very often too stupid to look out and fly right in front of me (f.e. when changing formation). Then my helo shakes, I hear some bleeps and then the chopper is waving back and forth every second or so. No damage registered in the MFD-panel, but it's almost unflyable.
I had this when I shot down two Hind's that were harrassing some of my tanks, made a nice easy and long right turn past the tanks to view the damage and halfway my wingman shot right before me and I had this problem again: third time in 5 missions, and this time I had to fly 45kms back.
Autopilot doesn't work anymore then btw.

What's happening? How do I fix this? Or what can I do to keep my wingman off me?

Personally I have not had any issues with my wingmen like the one you describe. I am running EEAH/EECH version 1.14.1.

The bleeps and chopper movement sounds like one of a few possible problems:
1. Too much torque - anything over 100% and your engines will start to overheat before popping
2. Too much airspeed - go too fast and you'll rip your rotors off. "Too fast" depends on the chopper, but it tends to be around 170-180+. Just keep your eye on your speed and if your chopper starts acting funny...slow down a bit.
3. Turning too fast/banking too hard - not sure what happens technically speaking, but have noticed the chopper getting all shakey when banking too hard, easing off sorts it.

I could be wrong of course -- maybe it's your maniacal wingmen buzzing the newbie. It just might be worth checking that it's not any of the above though.

If you haven't done so already, I'd check out these guides by Beach:

Tutorial 1
Tutorial 2
Tutorial 3
Tutorial 4

Hope this helps. Good luck!

I have had this happen to me several times. It is a result of colliding with one of your wingmen, which causes some damage to your helicopter (usually the main rotor), hence the autopilot won't engage because of the damage, and it flies like crap. The only fix is to try to be aware of where your wingmen are because they are very good at getting in your way.

Thanks for the replies. It's really what Goose describes. My wingman should not fly into me when I'm just making a gentle left or right turn, so I guess it's just "bad" AI. I should look into different formations perhaps and of course keeping in mind that it may happen...
