My own is the fact that after writing all those yoga sutras, Patanjali went on to become a mobster under Michael Corleone, turned rat, and slit his wrists in the bathtub while being kept under guard on an Army base.

I just expected so much more from a guy who started out so deeply spiritual and insightful.

I don't think he'd have gone that way if the Corleones hadn't brought his brother over from the old country and had him in the gallery while he was testifying. Fate takes strange turns.

Nevertheless, I still own a copy of "The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali".

Rest in peace, Frank, and thanks for the deep insights.

So what's yours?

Cheers!

Rick... dizzy

You been eating paint chips again?

No, Mrs. Sauron made me quit that. But I was working on a model airplane earlier and I think I might have got the tube of glue too close to my nose. Bad eyesight. I had to lean in close.

Cheers!

Rick... hahaha

That I listened to my family, who I realise now did not know me at all.

I would have made a fine airline pilot.

One I can't/won't tell.

The other waiting for a girl to break up with a guy so I wasn't an arsehole and steal her, even though she was treated like dirt by him. She ended up with a son and to this day she still has to deal with the SoB.

I don't have a "biggest" one. I have a list of minor ones, similar to Panzer's in that none of them are really a big deal, but I don't regret any decisions I've made enough to wish I could reverse them.
There are a few "I wish I had done X" things, but most of those are only with the benefit of hindsight. Sort of "maybe things would've been different IF I had...", but there's still no certainty it would, just increased confidence (compared to the time) that it would've turned out well.

I suppose the only one I can with absolute certainty is my profound disappointment that despite numerous attempts I've never won more than like $50 in the Lotto.

Being married or not is totally circumstance and personality dependent. Some people are better off that way, some are not. No right or wrong.

Ok, it IS wrong if you get married and divorced more times than you have fingers. You'd think at some point you'd get the hint that you're not suited to it!
