Thanks for the tip! The wheel, it turns out, is just the sort of thing that I have wanted for quite some time, as I tend to use Logitech gamepads for racing games. I really cannot be arsed to set up and take down a wheel and pedals all of the time , so this looks like a good compromise between using a wheel, and having the convenience of a gamepad.
As for the sim, I might give it a try. I'll have $10 credit at there store included with the wheel I've just ordered, at any rate.
The wheel looks to be "hand held" only with no mounting base (like the Mario Kart wheel for the Wii) in which case I will pass. Now if they make a force feedback wheel that can be mounted I'm all in.
BTW, this is part of a bigger endeavor, Simraceway seem to have: - designed this wheel, - developed a racing simulation, - built a centre for racing training (near Infineon Raceway if I'm not mistaken), in which they use their simraceway simulation software.
You can download the public beta of Simraceway for free on their website, it comes with a couple of circuits and one car (Mitsu Lancer I think), you have to pay for additional content (even during the beta period). I gave it a go some time ago, wasn't bad at all but haven't launched the sim since.
Made a video at that time, maybe you want to have a look:

Could it be modded to suit for mounting to the G27?....... Hmmmmmmmm.

Holy #%&*$#.... I'm so going to do that....
now to buy a G25 and the Simraceway wheel...
I'm not touching my G27, but a G25 needs more buttons...
As for the game itself I gave it a run for about a week and when I realized the amount of time it would take me to get the miles I needed for the next car, I decided to give in until I could easily convince myself to pay for a few cars so I could give it a much better run...
For what it is it shows a lot of potential, I'm not a big fan of the pricing vs miles idea, as it doesn't really reward ya for playing a gross amount of hours as there's not enough tracks to keep ya occupied long enough to get there...
Also having the Lancer as the only car available kinda cuts me a bit short, as I'm not a fan of the car, if they gave you a car with a bit more grunt in the engine bay that also handles well I'd probably still be racing it albeit not that frequently...
Bottom line is it shows a lot of promise...
I'll post again about it once I've got more cars, which hopefully shouldn't be that far off...

I have heard that the folks online don't race well with others and that has kept me away... and the above mentioned reason.
The Wheel however looks awesome and I would love to upgrade my G25. I'm sure someone will come up with a mounting system that doesn't take an engineering degree.
