Hello guys! After few months i come back to eech. I wondered how improve graphically look of EECH.. today an idea come to my head - we need clouds  ! New version for download 28-01-2012: -one test texture for alaska summer (optional) -better model, have more FPS when flying trough clouds -most of maps gets new trees textures -fixed cuba, lebanon , thailand Installation: - make sure you have render-tree-shadows=0 - dont put whole downloaded folder to game folder, in razorworks\.. should be only files that is needed (any backups in this folder will make bugs! ) Enjoy  ! DOWNLOAD
     They have one bug, maybe somebody can fix it. Scene has 2 files - trees and clouds over them, when you look up, and dont see trees, clouds dissapear.

Of course theres fps drop somewheres, it depends on map and how much trees are there. It's nearly optimized as much as possible.

I dont know why i have black shadow inside cockpit, it doesnt matter of light position in scene , always the same. I'm using old default apache cockpit to replace. Can someone help?  Uploaded with ImageShack.us

The clouds look really good in the arctic environment, as when there's snow (in the UK at least) the clouds are always dark and 'solid'-looking. BANITA - Longbow 2 had clouds already!  Now crawl back on the knees! (inside joke)

The cockpit contains several scenes. Some of them use light source, and its position, direction and intensity are specified in the code. The Viper cockpit is being made by dfang has the light defined in the scene, not in the code.

Soczkien - I see that you went for this version of the OH-58D cockpit...  But I am more familiar with this one...  Notice in the second pic that the central section has a large moving map display. Which cockpit layout is the newest? BANITA - Hmph!

I'm actually working on an updated blackhawk model that your cockpit would go with. I'm no good with the cockpit bit though, so maybe we could work together to complete the updated model?
It's probably about 70% done as I had to fix a lot of the geometry to reduce polys. It need textured and put into the layout.

 Another question: I noticed that the Mi-28 screenshots with the twin MFDs don't match the analog cockpit of the EEAH Mi-28. Has there been an upgrade to the Mi-28 line, or was the EEAH cockpit an educated guess?

Don't blame you at all for that, Soczkien. I think that flying the Mi-28H (the 2 MFD version) would be a blast. I'm just wondering if there are two Mi-28 variants in game, so that you could select the Mi-28A and get the EEAH analog cockpit, or the Mi-28H to get the glass cockpit.

Yea some maps works nice (alaska, yemen) but others really slow down (grand canyon, georgia). I'll try improve this by change texture for smaller (now it use smoke texture smoke001.tga) and change lod's. I think there's still some fps to obtain.

FPS can be improved if all of trees and clouds use the same surface (and the same texture, of course). It will not break batch.

DOWNLOAD Alaska, Skagway, Norway etc new trees  Yemen new trees   Also I've making new version of one map. It'll be in european style

That Euro-like map kicks some serious tail rotor! I have flown several times over Europe (in commercial planes, not military helicopters!  ) and it does look like that. Great job!

in georgia - no changes  now i'll try Alaska ) update ) Alaska don't have massive clouds as Georgia ) all is good. Does EECH use hardware-accelerated AA and AF? If not, software AA and AF are incredibly slow and should be disabled...

Heres new download: Report if any map have this bug, but im 99% sure everythings fine  DOWNLOAD
please cut original 1.14.1 3ddata\objects\fast_tree folder or delete it and put this new. MaceUK - these trees are the same as on alaska maps

Ah so will be ok in Alaska map? Also, can I choose trees shape? Mine are sort of square-ish round shape and I like the pointy ones in your screenshots  EDIT: Just tried Alaska and it's the same on that map too and my trees don't look like yours.

You dont put textures folder correctly "Trees Clouds 1.2\put in graphics\textures\terrain" copy this folder and put it there "Razorworks\cohokum\graphics\textures\" and replace all textures.

You probably did not delete the old directories / files only you left somewhere in the game directory.You can not keep a backup of any file in any directory EECH.

Banita's right. I have same effect when i put "ORIGINAL BACKUP 1.14.1 folder" in game directory. Check it also you should have render-tree-shadows=0 in eech.ini for better fps.

Currently only 4 maps have block forest. This is remake of puerto rico map with new textures and it will have new scenarios. ---------

After third clean installation I somehow managed to make this clouds and trees working. But then I encountered another problem. All terrain turned into white. This is Puerto Rico  What I'm doing wrong?

I'll install game and look wtf is going on .. Sorry guys but i dont understand your problems. Clean install eech, then patches 1.14.0 , 1.14.1 , and copy just 2 folders "objects" and "textures" from folders "put in .." to razorworks\cohokum replace all files and everything works fine.. also remember dont make backups in game folder because it mess up just replace files !

Well it works. Just my stupidy. Changed folders not files chence white ground. Now it works fine
