For me? sitting on the shelf until I know they've fixed all the major bugs in CoD, and not introduced any new ones. + they will have to put at least a good bit of the stuff CoD was promised but is missing in. Then, I might be tearing it up in a Yak or MiG!

Not a very fair Poll IMHO all the answers are negative and suggest that anyone answering doesn't want to fly the Eastern Front, not that I'm interested in the Eastern Front mind you but to be fair one must assume there will be those who would. Personally I'd like the Med/North Africa but that's me. If all the installments are to be merged ala 1946 then I would have to have it to be able to join a server that has it no matter what map might be running.

I'd bet it's leaning towards more English speaking, familiar Western aircraft simmers that want to see more of the aircraft I mentioned in my first reply than the il2. In fact the poll results, such as they are right now, shows exactly that. lol, I can`t see the "results" as this "poll" is obviously a joke and I refused to take part in it, so I can`t see the "results". Do yourself a favour and read the "Black Cross Red Star" books from Bergstrom and Mikhailov and learn what interesting part of a WWII air warfare you are dismissing. It can be "entertaining" even when no P-51 or P-47 are involved.

All negative? More exciting than a wardrobe malfunction on a Bolshoi ballerina How is that considered negative? Unless you think a partially naked Russian ballerina as something bad... I think Heinkill was trying to appeal to the average males hormones with that answer and therefore is considered VERY positive.

It can be "entertaining" even when no P-51 or P-47 are involved. That's nice but utterly irrelevant to what we're discussing about where the site is and what the poll is about. I'm sure that's a good book but what's that got to do with this poll on SimHQ? Your choice to disregard the poll as rubbish but it's what we're talking about and for you to dismiss data entirely because it doesn't suit your argument shows that you can't be reasoned with. Anything I say will just be met with another anecdote and possibly another reference to some irrelevant book.

While the server might be located in the US, you may have noticed, the public here is quite international.
I like this decision, since it opens a wide variety of missions and planes, German, Russian and Lend Lease.
Same old Europe or Pacific, no thanks, seen them too often since Dynamix and Micropose days. Err, those sims are 10-20 years old. There has been much more sim coverage of the Eastern Front in recent years than Europe and Pacific. If we are arguing from variety's/non-repetitiveness's sake, PTO or MTO are better options. Neither has been done well in over a decade. It is to be expected a Russian flight sim company will make a sim about themselves. Maybe they will be more enthusiastic about the single player for the Eastern Front than they were for BoB . . . maybe not. I just hope the people defending 1Cs making a game about the (relatively) unknown in the west IL-2 will not be the same ones clamoring the next time an American or British company makes a game or movie about the Yanks and Brits in WWII . . . Either way, Eastern Front holds minimal interest for me (just slightly more than WWI). I'd much prefer PTO, CBI, or MTO. But above all, I'd prefer a game that works.
